Is ‘Hollywood Exes’ Better Than ‘Real Housewives’?

It’s only been a few weeks since its premiere on VH1, but already, people are buzzing about Hollywood Exes. Is it better than Bravo‘s multi-million dollar Real Housewives franchise? Exes Jessica Canseco andAndrea Kelly weigh in. Of course, we know which show they think is better, but it may not be for the reasons you think.

Well, I watched episode 8 tonight and I liked all the girls at first..but then I find myself getting more and more peeved w/ andrea, sheree, and mayte. The trip to palm springs is what set it off for me with them. First evryone called sheree out at the table when she ate that bread w/o praying.may not have said “the Word hypocrite” but you know what they meant(will smith made a song about her holly roller??) I also think andrea is starting to let the LA atmosphere get to her. I also think sheree instigated the altercation w/ mayte instead of telling mayte to have a convo w/ jess, she says we’ll be there to support you.hmmm, jessica didn’t need support when she wanted to talk.. I love nicole though her expression to sheree was priceless after it all went down.

I completely agree with Audrey’s response to the most recent episode of “Hollywood Exes.” My take on these women is this: Nicole is the sweetest, most level-headed and the most strikingly beautiful out of all of the women! Andrea is nice enough but, sometimes, she is just too ghetto and too hard to understand when she gets going with some of those phrases she uses. Sheree thinks she is better than anyone else because she is a preacher’s wife but, anyone paying attention has to ask themselves…. “If she’s so great, why is her preacher husband living so far away from her?” His calling….his church? I don’t buy it! And then there’s Mayte. Delusional, out-of-touch, stuck-in-the-past….yep, that pretty much describes Mayte! The fact that she still has china from her marriage to Prince and his clothes says that she’s holding on desperately to someone who has clearly moved on. She is clinging to her status as Prince’s ex-wife or Tommy Lee’s ex-fiance but, honestly, no one really cares that she was married to Prince or dated Tommy Lee (except for maybe her and a few who live in L.A.)! They are blasts-from-the- pasts that need to stay…in the past! And, as far as her issues with Jessica, she was out-of-line for getting upset with her. It’s not Jessica’s fault for the losses Mayte has experienced so for her to repeatedly expect Jessica to apologize for something she had nothing to do with made Mayte appear desperate and, yes, crazy! She has some deep issues that need to be addressed and for her just-as-crazy-as-she-is friends to encourage this craziness is just ridiculous! All of this is exactly why she’s STILL single and living with her mom with way too many pets! She needs to stop hiding behind all of this B.S. and face the truth…life has passed you by and will continue to do so unless you make some major changes soon! Finally, despite Jessica wanting to have fun, she has a great relationship with her daughter and is refreshingly honest, which seems to be rare for anyone who lives in L.A.! Unfortunately, at some point, she felt she could mistakenly trust her supposed “close” friends to understand and support her when she told them of her PAST (key word: past) decision she made as a young woman and the painful experience she encountered as a result of it. However, not only did they judge her but then they all went against her for that decision and so, yes, they were clearly being HYPOCRITICAL!! Claiming to be a good Christian but passing judgment on someone for their past offenses (if you want to call it that) is clearly hypocritical. And to say Jessica needs a filter when she speaks is advice Andrea, Sheree and Mayte should have taken themselves when they repeatedly talked of her abortion behind her back beginning when they were in Palm Springs and then continued to talk about it once they got back to L.A. Either time, she wasn’t even there to defend herself! However, kudos to her for attempting to apologize, even though they all would have gotten a wake-up call in the real world that they need to get over themselves! My only hope is that, in future episodes, both Nicole and Jessica will continue to rise above the cattiness from the other women and will show us how real women who are friends are supposed to act with each other. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!
